About me :

I’m Nabeel, 15 years old generative artist from Kerala, India. I’m studying in 10th standard. I like to create art with code and I started creating generative art as my NFT.

My NFTs are available on different global platforms such as Foundation, Opensea and Wazirx. I’m in the process of learning more about blockchain technology and web3. I’m learning about how to integrate VR/AR into my works and hope will come up with this in the near future.

How I get into NFTs and Web3 :

I’m interested in creating posters, memes, photography as well used to learn coding in my free time. Last year my brother told me about blockchain technology, NFTs and its opportunities but I didn’t care much about it.

A few months later I’ve heard more about it and the pandemic situation gave me enough time after my online classes. So I’ve decided to learn what is this NFT and its underlying technology. Firstly I didn’t get it but gradually I developed an interest and curiosity to go deeper into it, then I understood this is the future.

What’s an NFT ?

NFTs are tokens that we can use to represent ownership of unique items. They let us tokenise things like art, collectibles, music, photography and even real estate. This is an opportunity for all artists and content creators to showcase and sell their work anywhere in the world by tokenising their creation in the blockchain as a non-fungible token.

About my NFTs :

Learning is more fun when we get a chance to apply those in the right scenarios.

When I started learning about geometric shapes, coordinates, angles, equations, and trigonometric functions in school, it was interesting but difficult for me to grasp the whole concept. I tend to forget them before my exams. I always wondered when and where I am gonna apply those outside my classroom.

But applying the mathematical concepts in generative art made things a lot easier and clearer. I started playing around with different shapes like rectangles, ellipse, circles, points, lines, etc in p5js , and every time it made me wonder how they generate mind-blowing patterns when placed at appropriate coordinates.

To make things amazing, I explored what are the different mathematical expressions available in p5js and there are many useful libraries for trigonometric and other parametric functions. I am not familiar with all of them yet, but I have used a few that I have already learned or at least heard about in my school.

Playing with the mathematical functions in p5js helped me to understand more about the concepts and the relationship between angles and sides of the geometric shapes. It was a very useful one to generate wave-like patterns in generative art.

My genesis creation is “Where does ideas come from?” I’ve minted this series in foundation in September 2021 and it was collected by Ambrose Lerma and Richard.

“Where does ideas come from?”

My other works are collected by Schon, Anesti Dhima, Threef, Flower Girls children art fund, Varvara Alay, Kids on the blockchain and Nyla Hayes.

I’m so grateful to our NFT community and the people who supported me throughout this amazing journey.

A few more works are available to bid on Foundation. You can check my Foundation portfolio here.
